RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus (RUMC) in George Town, Penang Island, was established in 1996 by two leading Irish universities – Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and University College Dublin (UCD)
RUMC students receive 2.5 years of high-quality pre-clinical training in Dublin (attending either RCSI or UCD) followed by 2.5 years of outstanding clinical training in Malaysia. Graduates receive a medical degree from the National University of Ireland (NUI) that is recognised by the Irish Medical Council (IMC) and the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
RCSI is ranked in the Top 2% by the Times Higher World University Rankings 2024. UCD is ranked in the Top 1% of higher education institutions worldwide and internationally recognised for providing healthcare education
