Pharos and IFG’s live online teaching platform
Pharos
Pharos is IFG’s virtual learning environment, supporting the live classes which students receive. On Pharos you will find comprehensive lecture notes, presentations, practice quizzes and assessments, and other teaching resources. Pharos also includes course information, timetables, and other information to enhance the learning experience.
An important aim of Pharos is to prepare students for their undergraduate and postgraduate studies. At universities, all assessments are set online, and students upload their completed assignments. Students are prepared for how they will study at university. So IFG follows the same processes so that when students arrive at university, they are well prepared.
Virtual Classroom students
Online students also access their live classes through Pharos. Our interactive online teaching platform simulates as much as possible classes taught in the physical classroom. Students and teachers can see each other, use the interactive whiteboard, and split into smaller study groups, making the learning experience enjoyable and stimulating. Over the last few years, students studying with us online have achieved similarly high grades as students attending our campus, progressing to high-ranking universities in the same way.
