IFG History

2017

IFG started in 2017 with a handful of students. Since then, our numbers have grown steadily, and over the last seven years, we have welcomed students from over 50 countries. We now offer foundation pathways in business, social sciences, engineering, computer science and medicine. Plus, pre-masters courses in business management and law as well.

The beginning

Expansion

2019

In 2019, we expanded with a franchise operation in Abu Dhabi, offering the same courses as in London. This was not the best of timing as the world was quickly plugged into the Covid epidemic. However, the campus is now flourishing, and in 2024, moved into a larger campus in the heart of the city.

2020

In 2020, as a consequence of the epidemic, IFG started to deliver its courses online. Teachers quickly adapted as we tried to replicate classroom teaching on our live online platform. We have continued to offer online teaching, with online students achieving results just as high as those students studying in our physical classrooms.

Recognition of teaching excellence

2022

We have a loyal, enthusiastic and dedicated team of teachers, most of whom have been with us since 2017. They are all committed to helping international students develop their skills and be prepared for the next steps in their education. In 2022, the quality of our teaching was recognised by our accreditation body, ASIC, who upgraded our membership to Premier Institution status.

2023

We continue to make our courses as accessible as possible with further development of our franchise network which now includes partner teaching centres in several countries. This has mainly been a great success, expanding the number of students who can benefit from our courses. Our aim is continue expanding the network in the coming years.

A wide choice of university partners

2024

IFG remains dedicated to providing students with as much choice as possible. Over the years IFG students have received offers from over 70 UK universities including many members of the elite Russell Group. In addition, our students have progressed to universities in different countries including the UAE, Cyprus, Ireland, Malaysia and Grenada. We also have partner universities in Australia and are constantly looking to expand the choice which we offer to our students.

The future

We will not be standing still in the next few years. We are now seeking accreditation with the Office for Students so that we can offer courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Hopefully, we will be offering some of these courses from 2026.
