We hope that the following will answer some of the questions you have about IFG, our Programmes and studying in the UK or UAE. However, if you have further questions please contact us at any time on info@intfoundationgroup.co.uk.
Foundation Programmes are 9-month intensive programmes that are recognised by our partner universities asequivalent to UK A Levels and so meet the entry requirement for directentry to undergraduate (bachelor) study. They offer a direct route to university in the UK and Australia for International students who have only completed 11 or 12 years of education under their national curriculum.
Pre-masters programmes are for international students who have an undergraduate degree but don’t meet the direct entry requirements to masters programmes at university in the UK.
IFG offers five Foundation Programmes – Business Management, Social Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science and Medical. Each programme contains several different subject modules such as maths, economics, physics depending on which Foundation you decide to study.
All our programmes contain English language modules to help you improve your English Language skills for university.
This depends on what you want to study at university and your future career goals. If you want to study International Business at university then the Business Management Foundation is for you. To see the wide range of undergraduate subjects you can study after IFG please take a look at the individual Foundation Programme pages.
standard academic entry requirements are listed on each Programme page. For our Foundation Programmes you can find specific academic entry requirements for your country on our entry requirements page.
You will also need to have attained a certain level of English depending on the Programme.
You do not need an IELTS or similar English test certificate to apply to IFG. If you have one then please send with your application but if not then you can take our Online English Placement test to determine your English level
Our minimum age is 16 years old at the start of your IFG course. This means you would be 17 years old when you start university. Most universities accept under 18-year-olds but with certain conditions such as not being able to stay in university accommodation and requiring a legal guardian in the UK until you become 18. Don’t worry as this is a question we are often asked and something that we will discuss with you before you apply.
Applications from dedicated and hard-working students are always welcome, and we appreciate that a UK education is not affordable for many international students. Therefore, in addition to keeping our fees as low as possible, we offer a number of part scholarships – these will range from 10% to 50% of the total tuition fees.
To apply for one of these scholarships, you first need to have applied for a course and received an offer. Then, on request, we will send you a scholarship application form.
Most students at IFG London prefer to live in student residences and we work with several accommodation providers who can help our students. We also work with a London Homestay organisation who can help if you want to live with a family.
IFG Abu Dhabi students can live in hotel accommodation, much of which is a 5-minute walk from college.
IFG London: Depending on your nationality you may require a visa to come to the UK. The face-to-face teaching part of programmes at IFG are less than 6-months so if you need a visa then you will need to apply for a Standard Visitor – https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor
IFG Abu Dhabi: You can study at IFG Abu Dhabi on a Tourist Visa. You can apply for this through a tourist agency in your home country or IFG can apply for this on your behalf through our partner agency in the UAE. Sometimes the Tourist Visa can be obtained upon arrival depending on your country of origin.
