The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2024 ranked UNIC the joint top university in Cyprus and Greece. UNIC is also ranked 115th for universities in the world that are 50 years old or younger by The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2024
UNIC is ranked 12th in Europe in the core area of Good Health and Well-Being (The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024). Cyprus is a safe country and in 2017 was ranked the safest country in the world for people aged 15 to 29 by the World Health Organization
